The fountain originated very early. In the 6th century BC, a fountain was built in the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. In ancient Greece, it has gradually developed from drinking water springs to decorative springs. There is a theory that the fountain originated from the fast bathing water supply method in Islamic countries. In Islamic gardens, fountains are either arranged along the axis or as the center of the partial composition. During the Renaissance, fountain technology developed greatly. During this period, fountains were mostly combined with statues, pillars, and pools for landscaping.
Famous fountains such as the famous "Hundred Springs Trail" of Villa Este in Italy and the fountain canal of Liantuo. From the 7th to the 18th century, fountains flourished in European cities. Famous such as the Helios Fountain in the Palace of Versailles in France, and the large waterfall fountain with statues in the Peter Palace in Russia. There are more than 3000 fountains in Rome, which is called the city of fountains.
