How to store firewood of Suspended Fireplace

For the optimal performance of your Suspended Fireplace, it is essential to burn dry wood. The maximum moisture content for a log ready to burn is 20%. Depending on how it is stored, wood can be burned 18–24 months after it is cut.

The best way to store firewood is to stack it off the ground in a dry area. Make sure the logs are well spaced, with plenty of air circulating around them, and protected from moisture. You can also cover the top of the wood pile with a tarp to keep out the rain.

It is important to store firewood properly to ensure its longevity and prevent it from rotting. Firewood should be stored in a dry, ventilated area away from direct sunlight. The logs should be placed at least 6 inches off the ground on pallets or other supports away from walls or buildings. To prevent insects from entering and living in the wood, it should be covered with a tarp or sheet of plastic. In cool climates, the firewood should be covered with a sheet of plywood to keep out the rain and snow. Wood should also be stacked properly, by making a top layer of small logs and adding increasingly larger logs beneath, ensuring good air circulation between the layers. Finally, it is best to cover the top of the stack with a waterproof cover to protect it from the elements.

If wood is not stored properly, it can become moist and thus burn less efficiently and emit pollutants as it burns.
