Corrosion Protection Mechanism: Weathering steel forms a dense and strongly adhering amorphous oxide layer (stabilized rust layer) on its surface, preventing oxygen and moisture from penetrating. Its atmospheric corrosion resistance is 4-8 times that of ordinary carbon steel, and its average lifespan can reach 8 times that of ordinary steel, achieving maintenance-free painting and significantly reducing total lifespan costs.
Durability: Withstands extreme temperature variations from -1000°C to 1000°C; its robust structure can withstand winds up to 200 km/h, adapting to various outdoor climate conditions.
Environmentally Friendly and Safe: Weathering steel is a recyclable material, embodying a green and environmentally friendly concept. The ash from burning firewood is rich in potassium and can be used as fertilizer for plants.
2. Structure and Process
Sheet Thickness: Commonly used thickness is 3.0mm - 4.0mm, ensuring a stable and durable structure with strong resistance to deformation.
