With the convection blower, indoor air is circulated through the heat exchanger and guided to the living space. This method allows much higher efficiency than the radiant heat of a manually fed wood or coal stove, and in most cases will result in the top, sides and back of the stove being warmed to touch at most. In addition to convection air, the exhaust fan also receives air from the combustion chamber through special ventilation devices specially made for particulate fuel.

These vacuum cleaners are equipped with a pellet furnace kit, which can clean the internal area of the furnace to improve efficiency. The pellet furnace can be lit manually or through an automatic igniter. The ignition device is similar to the heating coil of the automobile electronic cigarette lighter. Most models have an automatic ignition device and can be equipped with a thermostat or remote control at any time.
