Nozzle-type pit burner
Nozzle-type pit burners are easily distinguishable from standard burners. Instead of releasing gas through a simple hole in the surface of the burner, these burners are surrounded by metal nozzles, similar to the top of a pressure gasket. These nozzles use air intakes to increase the size of the flame.
Nozzle burners can be brass, stainless steel or a mixture of both. They go by different names depending on the manufacturer. Properties vary, but they produce significantly larger flames while using significantly less gas.
