Product Introduction
Gas seeps through the glass/lava rock into the flame and is ignited only when it reaches the top; therefore, it is placed at least 1-1/4 "above the burner and not on the side like a gas stove burner. The gas itself flows upward through the fire pit medium, forming a larger, more natural, irregular flame character.
Standard style flames must be buried under at least 1-2 inches of sandstone fireglass or a smaller size (1/4 to 1/2 inch) of lava rock. When it comes to sizing, try to keep at least 3 inches between the edge of the burner and the outside of your fire pit.
