Now, in the final section, you will disconnect the rubber propane hose and replace it with a new natural gas hose. This is a flared fitting, so duct tape should not be used. The other end of the hose with a quick connection will then be connected to your gas supply. Fittings have half inch NPT thread. These are tapered wires, so you'll need yellow gas tape to connect them.

Once all gas connections have been made, soapy water should be used to test for leaks.
When connected to natural gas, the burners require a supply pressure between 3.5 inches and 7 inches of water column. Your gas installer will know if they need to add a regulator to reduce the pressure on your supply. They probably have one on their truck, but if not, we have a gas regulator.
I always recommend that you have a qualified, licensed gas installer do all the gas connections for you.
