Usage and Maintenance Instructions
Rusting Process ("Rusting")
To achieve a uniform and aesthetically pleasing rust color, initially, you can periodically spray the surface of the pot with a spray bottle to accelerate the oxidation process.
During the rusting process, a small amount of yellowish-brown rust-colored liquid may seep out. This is normal; avoid placing the pot on light-colored floors that are easily stained. This phenomenon will largely disappear after the rust layer stabilizes.
Daily Maintenance
No special maintenance required: Once the rust layer has stabilized, almost no care is needed. Natural rainwater washing is sufficient.
Keep it natural: It is not recommended to apply any varnish or protective agent, as this will disrupt its natural evolution process and texture.
Cleaning: If cleaning is necessary, use a soft-bristled brush or rinse with clean water. Avoid using steel wool or other hard objects to scrape.
Planting Recommendations
It is recommended to first lay a layer of expanded clay pebbles or gravel in the pot as a drainage layer before filling with soil to ensure good drainage.
Due to the thermal conductivity of metal, in extremely hot summer weather, care should be taken to prevent the potting soil temperature from becoming too high. Shade should be provided for shade-loving plants.
