Product Introduction
Cor-Ten steel edging is a product that is designed to weather naturally. Initially it appears as plain galvanized steel but, over time, a thin layer of rust forms a protective layer over the edging strip. This protective layer doesn't break down like normal steel and the edging will last for many years. Cor-Ten steel comes in what we call a "blue" steel finish which in time through weathering will rust. It is not galvanized. it will develop the rusty patina after about 10 weeks in typical NE US coast weather conditions. In places like Nevada or Arizona, it might take 12 months unless watered.
