Clearance can be reduced by half when a noncombustible heat shield or fireproof cooktop is used. We strongly recommend using a double pipe section and flash kit at the flue exit of a tent or shelter. Always ensure that the flue outlet is through the fireproof cooktop jack and that flammable materials are kept away from the cooktop or flue. Whenever possible, secure the cooktop legs with tent stakes, bolts, or other appropriate anchors to prevent the cooktop from tipping over. This is especially important in easily mobile shelters such as trailers or boats.

Warnings and Precautions: Never leave a burning wood stove unattended. The surface of the cooktop can become very hot during use, so you must wear epithelial gloves and exercise caution when handling the cooktop. Children and pets must be carefully supervised when operating wood stoves to prevent injury or injury. When children or pets are present, we strongly recommend using a fence or cooktop guard to prevent accidental access to the cooktop. Burn only clean, dry, seasoned firewood in a Wennewell wood stove. Burning green wood produces carbon monoxide, which is harmful to health, and increases the build-up of creosote in flue pipes, creating the risk of chimney fires. Clean the flue regularly (approx. (burn every 20 hours) to avoid excessive creosote buildup, which inhibits airflow and creates a chimney fire hazard. We recommend using a JBL pipe brush to clean the flue. The user has the responsibility to use the furnace safely.
