Now that the fittings and hoses are connected, you can place your pit burner pot in place. To do this, you simply place the pan on the opening of your fire pit table. There is no need to hold the pot in place, the weight of the pot and the stuffing you put into it will keep it in place. Do not use adhesive, caulk or silicone of any kind to hold the pan in place.

Caution! Installing gas appliances can be dangerous. All gas connections shall be made by professional licensed gas installers.

Check gas lines and fittings. This step applies only to critical valve installation options. The connection to be tested is between the propane tank and the input to the critical valve. Stay away from sparks or flames. Fill a spray bottle with water and dish soap. Turn on the gas and spray along the entire gas line and wherever it connects to the soapy water. Whenever there is a leak, bubbles form. If you find a leak in the gas line, replace it. If you find a leaky connection, tighten it and retest. Do not leave the gas on for a long period of time without igniting the burner. The entire test should take no more than 30 seconds. Turn off the gas immediately after the test and allow it to dissipate for a few minutes before lighting the burner.

Caution! Propane is heavier than air and can accumulate in unventilated enclosures, creating a combustion hazard. A minimum of 20 square inches of ventilation is required at the lowest point of a closed fire facility to ensure proper venting of unburned propane gas. Never test a gas leak with a flame.
