Ventilation of electronic igniter pits is crucial. The fire pit structure can be very hot inside, and without adequate ventilation, the system can overheat and fail.
The industry standard is 36 square feet. The ventilation area is a few inches in total, 18 square feet. Inches on both sides of the fire pit structure.
However, some manufacturers recommend more ventilation for their electronic ignition systems. Therefore, it is necessary to check the specifications of the unit to ensure that you are providing the recommended ventilation volume in your fire pit structure.
