Which oil is best for cooking?
Each vegetable oil can be used in cooking due to its high burning rate. It's best to start with olive oil. Olive oil has a low burn rate, so it develops a nice brown-black hue. After the first few uses (2-3), you can start using other types of oil such as sunflower oil or peanut oil, whatever flavor you prefer.
How to clean the cooking plate?
If any food residue remains on the cooking plate, simply push it into the fire with the spatula. Wipe the dish down with an oiled cloth often and it will be spotless again. We recommend that you don't allow thick residue to build up as it can be difficult to remove. It is best to scrape down the cooking plate frequently. If a thick layer of residue still builds up, place ice cubes on the plate and scrape with a spatula, the residue will disappear quickly.
Maintenance of the cone？
In order to avoid the cone of getting clogged, please remove the ashes after each use. When the ashes get wet and stay in the cone rust chips might form on the Corten cones and the coating of the Black cones might come off.
How do I remove stains from the corten steel base?
While cooking oil splashes may form stains on the base. On the Corten steel bases these stains cannot be removed. However, the entire Corten steel base can be treated with oil using a kitchen towel making the stains invisible. Such treatment will make the entire base darker. When it rains, slightly greasy water may run off the Corten base, which may permanently stain light-toned stone or wooden surfaces.
